The holes are spaced differently then a standard 3 hole punch... it works with mini binders and some calendars binders It works well; I ordered 2 so I can have one at home and another somewhere else I might use it..

This little tool comes in handy! Definitely beats penching the holes one by one with a single hole punch. I used it on lamimated sheets and it went through just fine. There is a little lip so you can line it up and punch correctly but it is easy to miss look closely next to the punches.
