This takes the place of my last Staples 8 Digit & Solar Basic Calculator. My old one lasted for well over 10 years! I am very pleased with this one as it is accurate, the numbers are clear and with the solar power, I don't have to worry about changing batteries. The price is so reasonable for the quality you are getting. I highly recommend this simple calculator.

Great value. Simple to use. Bought two for work and will continue to purchase this brand when needed again.

Good but lacks an OFF button and takes 7 minutes to shut off which is ridiculous.

It does exactly what I need. I wanted a simple calculator to replace one that finally "died" and this is perfect.

My prior calculator from Staples was a SLP-230 made in China. The SLP-230 is superior to the ST230. The recent purchase is marked down to 3 stars because it's body is has right angle body edges on its perimeter as opposed to user friendly molded edges. Also, the button contact has more movement in order to get action. The SLP was smoother and less finger movement is required. Finally, the all black color to the body of the calculator is unattractive while the SLP had silver and black. The silver and black made it attractive to the eye versus the all black ST230. In conclusion, three stars is probably too much for the ST230 from Vietnam. The calculator calculates but it's just not user friendly. The SLP-230 from China wins that hands down!
