My prior calculator from Staples was a SLP-230 made in China. The SLP-230 is superior to the ST230. The recent purchase is marked down to 3 stars because it's body is has right angle body edges on its perimeter as opposed to user friendly molded edges. Also, the button contact has more movement in order to get action. The SLP was smoother and less finger movement is required. Finally, the all black color to the body of the calculator is unattractive while the SLP had silver and black. The silver and black made it attractive to the eye versus the all black ST230. In conclusion, three stars is probably too much for the ST230 from Vietnam. The calculator calculates but it's just not user friendly. The SLP-230 from China wins that hands down!
