I often find the tip of this pen unscrewing from the barrel. After many uses the barrel can crack along the threads that keep the tip in place rendering it useless far before the ink dries out. The retracting action on this pen is stiff and sometimes sticky due to springs used and the poor construction of the metal tip. I typically spend a few minutes to modify this pen when I get it out of the package just to get it functioning better. Including screwing the retracting spring up on the ink well to make the action smoother and scraping the inside of the tip out to remove the excess nickel plating. I do appreciate that the pen is customizable to that effect but if they would just make some simple upgrades like getting rid of the screw tip this pen would be great.
