[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This clear Command Hook works great! It's exactly as expected. My walls are slightly textured and it still holds up very well. My only complaint is about the command strips. They are clear, but they have a slight yellow tinge to them which is pretty noticeable since the hook itself is clear. If you're hanging something on it that covers the hook then it's no problem, but otherwise you will notice the strip because of its yellow tinge. The other thing I didn't like was that the pull tab on the strip came attached to the packaging. So when I pulled it out of the package some of the paper was attached to the pull tab of the strip. I suppose I could cut that part off, but that would make the tab shorter and more difficult to use in order to remove the strip off the wall later. Two minor things but some things to keep in mind if you're interested in these hooks. I really do like the hook, but I feel like there could be improvement on the strips and the packaging. All in all, I would still recommend this.

How did we love before 3m hooks?!

Can not remove without damaging wall

I bought 4 of the clear command hooks. After a couple of years, I wanted to remove. Only 1 hook came off clean and the other 3 not so as the adhesive was brittle and evening removing with floss was quite difficult, broke the floss numerous times while trying to remove just 1 hook. The adhesive left behind had to be removed with a knife and some of the paint came off the wall. I have not had this problem with the white hooks.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great product

Confusing packaging

Purchased clear large hook (17093), as a first time user of the Command product line. Step #2 of the instruction sheet on back side of packaging, instructs to "apply strip to wall", and shows the rounded side of strip facing downward. The actual blue liner remaining on this strip, then has the "Command" wording upside-down. Is the picture on back of packaging incorrect, or is the Command logo on strip inverted in the manufacturing process. Does it matter if rounded end od strip os facing upward or downward on the wall? Thank you

Loved it

I bought the white version. I actually attached it to brick, painted brick at that and hung a pretty heavy an large paper calendar. We all took bets that it would not stay in place for more than a day or too. Well that was January and I just had to move it and it was firmly in place. It didn't take the paint off the wall. Mind you the calendar got lighter every month as I peeled off the months. Still we were all shocked that it lasted.

Adhesive mounting strips useless

I'm usually very pleased with any of your products but not this time when I try to mount the adhesive strips to the back of the hook the paper wouldn't come off and expose any adhesive. I tried everything and to no success . And this store wouldn't let me return that because it was an open Package.
