This lateral file cabinet really hit the mark for me It fits nicely into a double door closet and allows me to eliminate two separate file containers with plenty of extra room for future use Very pleased

The file cabinet is what I was expecting and looks good in my home office. The only problem was the two steel rods where you hang the files were both taped in the back of the file and getting one removed to put in front was extremely difficult to do. I had to put on heavy gloves and finally was able to remove one after a very big struggle. I would recommend the file but be aware of the steel rods.

The only cabinet available was a floor model. It was seemingly inaccessible but between the efforts of a very helpful Staples employee and me we figured out how to get it out from underneath a shelf. She adjusted the price to coincide with the price shown on the website and discounted the price further since it was a “floor model” with a slightly tired look. Since I prefer function over form that suited me just fine. Great job!

Previous file cabinet (30 years old) was of much higher quality. This is an inferior product. Drawers do not stay closed; there is no catching device. No dividers to keep letter size files in place. Not pleased at all. Metal is thin.
