They don't lose their closing grip

Some rings like this will pop open on their own after they've been used a few times. These maintain their tight hold but if you have weaker hands from arthritis or otherwise you might have to use tools to hope open and close them.

Simple inexpensive yet sturdy binding

Great for mini albums or holding cards or bits of things together. I've not broken one yet. On occasion I have trouble opening it (if it opened too easily things could fall off the ring unexpectedly).

Not quite as good as ones I have owned before

I have purchased another brand of this item before. The ones from Staples are of lesser quality. Staples’ are more difficult to open and the arms do not line up properly to simply push them closed. The arms on some cross behind each other so as you are trying to close them the arms need to be torqued to allow them to overlap properly and close. If you are using them in situations where opening and closing is infrequent they are OK. If you need to do so frequently I would suggest searching for another brand.

Good Sturdy Product

I use these rings for keeping my son's TONS of animal flash cards all together. I just hole punch them on each top corner and ring them together on either side. I've tried just doing one side but they flip-flop around too much. two holes are perfect and he can take his cards with him everywhere even in the car without me cleaning up a huge mess. I will say that the larger 2 inch rings come apart too easily. The 1 inch rings are perfect.

I use this product daily for school and at home. These work great and are cheeper than at the craft store which I use for scrapbooking.
