I've used these boxes for a long time. They're easy to set up and pretty well constructed. I've used similar products from a competitor but I found that they tore pretty easily when you separate the perforated lid from the bottom. I got several from the competitor and the about the same number from Staples around the same time. I noticed that the ones from your competition seemed to get yellow with age whereas the ones from Staples did not get so yellow. Since they're about the same price the choice is obvious.
this is an adequate product for home lightweight storage. thin wall construction that can be problematic to assemble (mostly a quality control issue)and there is a limit to how high they can be stacked. of course you can spend considerably more for heavy duty use.
The Staples brand storage boxes are very economical and very study. They can be used for any item or record whether it be for household items and records or business records.
These boxes that come in a 10 pack are a good value. It was difficult to locate the proper boxes in the store. I was finally assisted by one of the employees in finding which package was on sale.
I am constantly finding uses for these boxes. They are easy to assemble and the lids fit! Having handles on the ends make it easy to transport the boxes from one place to another and I love having the designated areas for labeling the contents of the box. Even though I have difficulty removing the lid along the perforation without tearing the box I have learned that holding a ruler or yardstick along the perforation when tearing helps to reduce the amount of tearing which occurs.
