It was better before...

The boxes were great BEFORE they attached the lids to the boxes. You now have to cut the box lid off of the box before you assemble either piece which wouldn't be a big concern but the perforated edge isn't perforated enough so even though you take scissors exacto knife etc you still risk a chance of tearing the lid or the box but normally the lid will tear. I finally got the hang of it but tore at least two or three of the lids while attempting to separate these. Very disappointing because I didn't have any extra lids to put in place of what was torn.

this type of box makes it very easy to move documents out of cabinets as well as very strong enough to Hold Files

Great Boxes

These boxes are very sturdy and I love how the ends have the perfect place to label what is in them. They are also the perfect size to put letter and legal files in. They stack very nicely and are compact enough to put into small places. I have also used them for packing when I moved. They were still in such great conditon after I used them that I passed them on to my sister-in-law who was also moving and they held up very well for both of us! I have used them for various things. I really love how they are so very versatile.

I like the size of the box. Easy to put together and mark for filing. I don't like the fact that the lid does not fit over hanging folders!

Quality at economy price

I was surprised at the size of these at first but soon realized that they were easier for us to handle than the longer boxes. And even though they are not heavy duty they are strong enough for storing files and the smaller size is actually a bonus when moving and stacking. I feel that this is a good deal and would order them again the next time I need boxes for storing files. If you are looking for basics without the cumbersome bulk this is a good product. I don't know how well they would hold up under repeated moves.

We use these boxes primarily for storing old bills and receipts in the attic. They are easy to label and stack so when it is time to shred your old papers (after 7 years) you can find them.
