WE buy these boxes each year for end of year storage. They are sturdy enough to last the number of years necessary for keeping the records without falling apart.

Great and long lasting if you don't abuse them. The two biggest reasons they don't last are you misstacked the light ones on the bottom or the lid wasn't on and it got bent. Used for both paper and memorabilia storage by me. One problem is getting the lid disconnected easily from the base without damage. The perferation of the base of the box is fine. You probably could collapse them when not in use but I have never tried it. I expect the 65% recyled number to rise as recycling efforts in general have picked up and will over the next few years from the small business side.
