I've used these boxes for years as moving boxes. So easy with the handles and the lid. When done moving i just flatten then again and store for next time. I've used for many moves before i had to replace...they're very sturdy!

Very Handy for moving

I am using these boxes to clean out a home to sell it. We have used the boxes for everything from books to dishes to general household items. I don't know if they would hold up in unairconditioned damp conditions with heavy books in them for years and years. You might want the slightly heavier boxes if that was your purpose. We have loaded these full with heavy books and they do fine for the transporting. The boxes aren't huge so that keeps the contents from getting too heavy. They are easy to assemble and don't take up much space while not is use. I recommend just getting these (watch for sales) and skip trying to go to lots of places gathering used boxes. There is some cost involved but it saves your time and gas running to multiple places dealing with the space issues of pre assembled boxes lids etc.
