Much more "flimsy" than I anticipated. Even for moving and storage of light weight items like clothes the covers (corners) often broke when being moved. Sadly not good enough for storage and moving.

Complicated to put together

First the good thing: They did the job they were supposed to. Filled to the brim with folders they were easy to carry (aside from the weight) and no breakage during moving. However there were many steps to putting them together especially involving the detached lid. If you're needing to use a lot of them it's going to add to your packing time. The regular packing boxes you get from say Home Depot are much easier and quicker even though you need tape. I don't know the rice comparison.
