Cabinet lock is broken

We love the cabinet in general but it's brand new and the lock is broken. We were able to load files in it on the first day but now the lock keeps catching on the second drawer and we can't get into the top drawer. We are requesting a replacement. Thank you.

Exactly what I was wanting

My husband and I purchased the HL8000 Commercial 42" wide 4 Drawer Lateral FIle Cabinet on January 14 2015 and picked it up in our closest store which is Bastrop Tx the very next day. We decided to put a large closet in our home building plan for the home office in which to file all our papers. It fit perfectly and now we are reorganizing the files into the cabinet. The quality of this cabinet is very sturdy and durable and has locks to prevent important information from unauthorized access. It will hold much more than I need at this time but I can use one of the drawers for printer supplies as well.

NOT EASY TO OPEN

I would have expected at this price point that I would easily be able to open these file cabinets. They jam on the right side and you have to play musical drawers to open them. Literally open the bottom drawer a few inches to get the third drawer to open but then close the top drawer to get the bottom drawer to open.... It's a bit of a nightmare and frankly for this kind of money I should just be able to open a drawer without having to remember a ridiculous sequence.

I needed a second person to help bring it down the stairs and to put the drawers back in place. I had to take out the drawers to lighten the load. It is worth it.

This is the best purchase ever! Hard to believe that people would purchase a filing cabinet that they would assemble themselves! This was worth every penny. Extremely sturdy. Very well put together. Love it!
