These are great labels. I use them for many other things then just for shipping boxes. I label all my magazine boxes with the 2x4 labels as I can use a larger font.

Much more than a shipping label

I use the white shipping labels 8164 for many other uses than shipping. I can label specific hardware with these labels to include all pertinent information such as date ordered / PO # / Qty / Price / Acct used for payment, etc. In this way I have a permanent record on each piece of hardware ordered with the details of why it was ordered / when / PO etc. I use them to mark containers that are storing product / test hardware in the lab to easily identify what is in each container. I do the same for large storage containers that will be stored in our warehouse for future use. The labels are permanently attached to the containers and are easy for warehouse personnel to locate and read when asking for the container to be transferred back to the lab.

I really enjoyed how easy it is to make your own design and then produce in large quantities. However, it did smear at least once per project (about three times) which seems like quite a high rate if you ask me. Maybe it's the printer, but we matched the product to the printer type, so it shouldn't have smeared that much. But otherwise very useful.
Pros: Efficient, Easy To Set Up, Easy to use
Cons: Flimsy Construction, Smears Pretty Often

As a self-employed maker of handmade accessories, I make multiple bulk shipments every week. Avery's labels and handy online templates make this a much faster process. I really like the fact that I can save my template to my computer without having to download software. I only have to create the label once and then simply print from my saved shipping label template. This is great if you have a Mac!
