The pouch seals on the 8.5 inch side and for more versatile useage it is good if it sealed on the 11 in side

I always use "generic" brands and I've never had a problem with Staples brand before but this product just does NOT work. I had to run it through my machine 5 times and there were still spots that were not sealed and there were bubbles. I even tried my mother's laminating machine and it still didn't work. I had to go out and buy another pack of sheet (which worked perfect) so now I wasted my money and time.
