I have just started using this file cabinet. The drawers work smoothly. I read there can be a problem with this being flimsy and falling over. So far I have not had a problem with it. I do have a printer on top of it so that may help to stabilize it some. So far for the price it works for me.

Had wanted something more fashionable - looked at Pier 1 but rattan type were all too flimsy. Finally decided to go with a "real" filing cabinet and put it in the closet. Did some research on line and decided to go into 2 stores to see the product in person to make sure it was sturdy enough and the drawers closed nicely. I was in Office Max first and they did have a contender - however the bottom drawer was too close to the floor (cabinet is on carpet and didn't want a problem opening and closing). Went into Staples and saw this one - had over 1" space from the floor. I was very fortunate that there was a 25% sale off all filing cabinets - I stopped looking and bought it.... and AM VERY PLEASED.

Is an adequate file cabinet but a bit light. I found you must be careful not to open the drawers completely or the cabinet begins to tilt forward. Also the inside of the drawers have a ridge that inhibit the smooth insertion of files. They file but you need to wiggle/maneuver them a bit as you place them down in the file hangers. For the money it is not a bad cabinet.

This 2 drawer locking file cabinet gave me exactly what I was hoping for. I already had the hanging folders and they fit perfectly inside. the lock works perfectly as well. provided what I needed. very satisfied

Smooth Operation

I am pleased to finally have locked file cabinets that provide security for my financial records and my rental records (a requirement). the Bonus is that the drawers work extremely smooth and easy. I used the old cabinets in the basement to store away bulk papers and appliance records that were taking up unneeded space in my office. I'm using 2 cabinets side by side but could also add a third. the flexibility gives my the chance to rearrange my office however I wish. They can be moved easily. I just wish I had a top to cover them both and use the extra space for commonly used items.
