not so happy when i first purchase this item found out there was a huge dent on the side when i open the box brought back the file cabinet and exchanged a new one check for dents there where none got home took it out and put the key in the lock to try half of the lock broked off the other half came out with the key. how does this break so easily? very upset does not want to go back for exchange again very discouraging to go back to shop anytime soon.

This is great for a light duty file cabinet. The bottom drawer would not open on the first item which was replaced with a second that works great.

I had a heavy duty extra long metal filing cabinet for years but recently I went on a cleaning-out spree. I needed to downsize to a two-drawer metal filing cabinet of a standard depth that's also light enough for me to maneuver. This one is perfect. So it is not heavy duty but it is not flimsy either. Good for standard paper files.
