I would not recommend these mechanical pencils at all. When you begin to write the lead immediately breaks. I have used other brands that withstand constant use. I use a mechanical pencil 9 hours a day in my job and these have been a real letdown . One positive is the fine lead. It’s perfect and does not smear

The lead worked fine for me and it lasted for quite sometime before I have to refill it again. The eraser was not great. It's hard and leave streaky residues on the paper. I use another eraser for this. But you just can't beat the price when it comes on sale.
