Best tape ever

Loves these tapes, has always been my GO TO tape. The affordability and the durability is amazing and the shop that I work at ( ACCELERATED CONSTRUCTION AND METAL ) goes by a standard certification of these tapes. And these always stay true to that industry standard.

Durable, accurate, and very easy to read

I have at least 6 Stanley Tape Measures spread out for work or home projects. This is one of my favorites because it is easy to read, it is very accurate, and it doesn't mind being dropped from time to time. I've used it quite frequently on projects and it has maintained the accuracy, winds up easily, and the tape has also held up without excessive wear or creases. It extends out quite a distance before the blade drops also. I have a couple of older tapes that are similar from the 80's that still serve me well also. I wipe the blade off if it gets oil, mud, etc. on it and I never let the blade slam home when retracting it. I think that no matter how well made something is, if you don't take care of it then it will fail.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Staniel has been with me for over 20 years. Multiple decks, 2 whole house remodels, so many cabinet boxes built. It's starting to show it's wear, but it has been a great tool.

PowerLock does not work

Lock does not lock. Tape goes back as soon as you attempt to measure with it making it

Measuring Pro?

Stanley Powerlock case shows it can be used for accurate ID measurements by butting the case to the wall and adding 3" to the taped result. But the case is rounded. And there are "no manuals' for tape measures. This is an obvious area where manufacturer clarification is necessary for proper use of the device.
