[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I remember growing up and using my dad's Stanly Powerlock tape measure, and using it as kids tend to do I remember hearing that thing up Everytime I picked it up. 30 years later I still see that tape measure that still works just like it did the day I picked it up.

A Champion of Longevity!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Stanley POWERLOCK II 25' Tape Measure is a champion of longevity. I purchased this tape measure approximately 36 years ago for a home project and it still works flawlessly to this day. Although I do own other tape measures, this Stanley POWERLOCK II is my “go-to” tape for anything I need to measure quickly & accurately. It really holds up to time and use...This tape measure has been dropped off ladders and roofs, it has been dragged behind a truck down the road after falling off the truck, it has been exposed to sun, rain, snow, it has been dropped in the water, snow and in mud. It has been left outside exposed to the elements but, it works perfectly and the tape, is as easy to read as it was the day I bought it...it retracts perfectly and the blade lock still locks securely and won't budge until I unlock it. The exterior cover is not very pretty and has some battle-scars to prove it has had some use, but, this tape measure works so well, I use it just about every time I need to get a measurement.

Durability and Longevity

Classic and tough

Amazing enough that I haven't lost it or left it at a job site, but to know that it's been through so much and and hasn't come apart, broken at the end or just wore out like so many others I've had is a testament to the quality of Stanley. Look at a pros tape and it's probably a Stanley. This one's one of the best in their line up.

The durable blade, convenient tang, powerful stand-out, sturdy locking lever, and functional belt hook. PowerLock tape measure is a very basic tool and its easy-to-use makes it very light and comfortable to handle. It’s an inexpensive tape measure, it has both quality and value. I didnot experience any failings using it, well protected blade, suitable size tang,
