Life-long tools

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I now have seven different Stanley tape measures from a 25 foot Powerlock I purchased in 1980 to a four piece set received as a gift two years ago and a recently acquired Fat Max 25 I purchased for a pole barn project this Spring (to replace two cheap tool store branded units that my brother was using that the recoil spring on each broke within the first two hours). As with all of my Stanley tools, I expect, and have enjoyed, durability and quality from each. These tape measures are just a small part of my Stanley/Black&Decker/DeWalt/Craftsman tools collection that ranges from (Stanley) antique hand planes to (Craftsman) 1000+ piece mechanic's hand tools, corded woodworking tools, and yard equipment to (B&D and DeWalt) cordless power tools - a 14.4 volt, four piece set that I have been using for 15+ years and through seven sets of batteries. I am, and will continue to be a lifelong customer especially since Stanley acquired Craftsman and has committed to bringing manufacturing back to USA suppliers, locations, and workers.

Measure Twice, Cut Once

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have several Stanley measuring tapes, but my 'go to' is the 25 ft. PowerLock. Mine is 50 years old and helped me add a second story to my first home in 1970. Recently discharged '66-'69, GI Bill, 2 kids and one on the way and needed some extra bedrooms. Finished the 2nd floor adding 3 BR and Bathroom. Still going strong, like me, after all this time.

Great tape measure,

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this tape 6 days a week and it is in a holster on my hip 10-12 hours a day. It stays rigid to 7' just like they say it does. With all the recycling that we do these days, I wish Stanley would sell the refill blades like they used too.
