BANKER BOXES

We use these boxes at year end every year! They are easy to put together so we like that. Actually we ordered more because our other departments are now using them.
Button popped off just after wrapping string and hole too large to reinsert. Flimsy when picked up and not even full. Not enough support on top to stack boxes.
These boxes are easy to assempble... No need to fold covers separatly. They are much stronger then the two part box and cover setup. They hold more files. They seem to take a complete full file drawer instead of a partial. I can't say enough about these wounderfull boxes. I will be useing them exclusively.
I have used these boxes for years. I like using the same style as they then stack and store easily. That said however recently the button to which the string ties has pulled loose on at least one side of nearly every box that I have packed. The flange on the inside of the box is too small and the buttons fall off. I usually end up taping the box shut when this happen but that is much less convenient. The plastic handle works great for dragging the boxes but it is only on one end. For lifting the cardboard cutouts often rip. I am guessing that these are being made a bit bit more cheaply since these are all new issues from the last year or so.
We use these boxes to store folders. All the string attachments broke off so we couldn't secure them. Next time we will pay more and go with the Banker Boxes which seem to be stronger. I thought I would give Staples brand a try because they were cheaper but was disappointed.
It's your basic file storage box. I like that the top is fold-in so you don't have to worry about losing the box lid or it getting deformed which is so easy to do after a few years and having things stack and shift. That doesn't happen with these though the whole box can get a bit deformed but it is made of cardboard after all. Still it does the job and doesn't have to last forever.
