I tried it and I couldn't stand it. It might take the stain out but sure not the smell. I used it once and never again. There is an after small kind of like a sweat smell. Do no go.

This definitely isn't the fresh experience we expect from our Free & Gentle PODS™! They have no added fragrance, and we can assure you that our detergents won't cause bad smells. If your freshly-washed laundry comes out smelling badly, it may be due to odor causing residues in your washing machine. To freshen up your machine, we suggest giving our Tide Washing Machine cleaner a try. We'd love for you to give us another chance with this tip in mind! does not totally disintegrate in the washer

The last package I got had pods in it that would not totally dissolve/disintegrate in the washer. The covers of the pods collected in the door of the top loader washer I have,

While we're sorry to hear you've had some difficulties with your PODS™, we're here to help! On a small number of machines, the size of the gap between the washing machine door and the rubber seal means that the PODS™ can become trapped. The outside casing (film) of the empty PODS™ can become stuck to the door/seal of the washing machine. Luckily, this can be prevented by making sure to not overload your washer and adding the PODS™ to the drum of your machine before you add your clothes. If you do find residue, you can remove it easily with a soft damp cloth using mild soap and water. the coating doesn't fully disintegrate + the liquid portion does not fully rinse out of clothes + i'm left with stained clothing. this doesn't work and i'm very disappointed. i want my money back

We understand your frustration. Our PODS™ should always dissolve fully, leaving your clothes looking great. Because the casing and detergent is water-soluble, soaking those affected items overnight, then rewashing in the hottest water safe for the fabric should restore them. For best results the first time around, always be sure to add your PODS™ to the drum of your machine before adding the laundry. impossible to open

These pods work just fine, but the container is impossible to open unless one is a gorilla. I am not a weak person but I have to get my husband to open the container. I will be buying another brand.

These were perfect for eczema sufferers

My child is super sensitive and has eczema and I feel this product cleans her clothes better than other sensitive brands . Because she is a toddler her clothes get pretty dirty so these work great without having all the highly allergic allergens in it

Leaves residue all over clothes!

I am very disappointed with Tide Free and Gentle Pods! They continually leave a white residue all over my clothes which requires me to re-rinse them in warm water to get the marks out!! I will not buy these again!

Excellent Product

I have been using this product for over three years and have had no issues with the pods not dissolving appropriately. I prefer this product as the scent of regular Tide on clothes is over powering in my opinion. My clothes are very clean and look bright. I have never had an instance of pod plastic sticking to clothes or my washing machine. I am a satisfied customer.
Pros: Price, Satisfaction, Smell
