Poor quality

Purchased large quantity of this model # about 2 years ago. Not premium but very good for price. These are the same diameter wire but seem to deform more easily and multiple clips are not formed well with sharp snags on the cut ends. Prior to purchasing these I tried the Acco Premium at three times the price and they were no better. Occasionally I will find one of the old true premium clips from years ago and they are much larger diameter and do not deform and have good holding power. These are cheap but more expensive are no better. So sad quality has been forfeited for profit. There are those of us that would pay more for a truly excellent product.

purple and white box = poor quality

I use a lot of large paper clips. Up to now I had always bought the Staples 10 box package (1000 paper clips) that came in red boxes of 100 paper clips each. This time Staples didn't have anyof the red boxes so I bought a 10-pack of the purple and white boxes. When I got home and opened the first box it was like I had bought "seconds." About half of the paper clips were mis-aligned crooked bent too much or not enough the two loops not in the same plane etc. etc. Clearly they were manufactured with inadequate quality control. Staples needs to address this quality issue ASAP.
