They are reliable tools for anyone needing to emphasize text whether for studying note-taking or organizing documents. The quality of the highlighters stands out in terms of both performance and usability. They provide a good balance between affordability and effectiveness making them a popular choice among students and professionals alike. Chisel Tip and Ink Brightness The chisel tip design is one of the most notable features of these highlighters. It allows for versatile use; you can create both broad strokes and fine lines depending on how you hold the pen. This flexibility is particularly useful when highlighting different types of text or when you need to underline as well as highlight. As for ink brightness Staples highlighters deliver vibrant colors that stand out on paper without being overly harsh on the eyes. The ink flows smoothly which helps prevent skipping during use ensuring that highlighted sections are consistently bright and clear. Usage I primarily used these highlighters for studying and organizing notes. During my review period I highlighted key concepts in textbooks marked important points in lecture notes and even used them to color-code different subjects in my planner. The ability to easily switch between thick and thin lines with the chisel tip made it simple to adapt my highlighting style based on the context—whether I was marking definitions or emphasizing entire paragraphs. overall it is affordable and so vibrant

Love it but my pack arrived a bit dried out

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am huge on active learning so for me being able to makes lots of highlights write notes and make diagrams are key. I always have a highlighter packed with me. These Staples brand Hype Highlighters fit the bill for all my highlighting needs. I love how slim and light weight they are. The cap is easy to remove and secures well they you don't have to worry about the chisel tips being exposed and marking up the inside of your purse or backpack. The chisel tip is great for taking precise highlights which is very nice. What I love the most is that it has a low odor and is non toxic. The ink dries quickly so you can turn the pages or run your hands across it immediately after without worrying about smearing or getting ink on you. The color of the highlights is very calming but vibrant almost pastel neon yellow if that makes sense. The only thing that I deducted a point from this highlighter was that my pack felt a bit dry on the ends of the chisel tips. When I would first begin to mark it almost felt like that scratchy screeching feeling as you glide the highlighter across the paper. Could be that I just received an older box that was a bit dry. Unsure. Pros: -Bright calming neon pastel yellow -low odor -non toxic -lightweight -cap stays secured -has a cap clip so you can hook it to your pockets folders etc for ease of use. - does not smear -dries instantly Cons: -My set felt a little dry on the ends. I could feel a bit of scratchy resistance when gliding the highlighter across the paper.

Smooth highlighter that gets the job done

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you’re looking for a consistent highlighter this is a go-to. The chiseled tip makes for an easy smooth highlight. I mostly use these highlighters for use on my kids schedules and the yellow color is nice and bright when first used. It does turn slightly darker once fully dry which is kind on my middle-aged eyes. The ink dries quickly and doesn’t smear which is a huge perk.

Even Outlasts a Toddler

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I found the Staples Hype Chisel Tip Yellow Highlighter to be a surprisingly strong performer with far more pros than cons. The highlighter’s bright vibrant color makes it easy to see and excellent for marking text. When I first used it to edit ceremony programs printed on wax-coated pamphlet paper I noticed slight smudging but only if I didn’t allow about 10 seconds of drying time. On standard notebook or printer paper however it performed flawlessly with no smudging at all. One thoughtful design element is the etched plastic grip pad which makes it both comfortable and easy to hold during extended use. My favorite feature is the highlighter’s durability. The chisel tip is solid and doesn’t collapse even under pressure. In fact after a full day of toddler doodling it still had plenty of ink left and maintained its shape. That speaks volumes about its quality. The clip-on cap has a bit of give and if you pull it too far it doesn’t always snap back into its original position but that’s a minor issue in an otherwise excellent product. Overall this is a highlighter I’ll continue to use and one I’ll confidently recommend to others.

Smooth and easy to use

The vibrant color and chisel tip design enabled effortless application and clear visibility while preventing ink smudging. Moreover I appreciated the highlighter's ergonomic profile and comfortable grip allowing for easy handling while using it.

Classic Highlighter

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These highlighters are your classic yellow highlighter and that in my opinion is exactly what you want in a highlighter. The ink brightness is very good so it makes whatever you're highlighting stand out without it obscuring the actual text. I also appreciate the chisel tip which gives me more control over the thickness of the line. Additionally the 12 pack should last for a very long time. And if you're like me it's nice to have highlighters in multiple locations so I don't have to go searching for one when I am reading and want to highlight something. To be honest I can't think of any cons with these. Like I said they're very classic. I guess for someone who likes to highlight with multiple colors this pack may not be for them but for me I'm a yellow highlighter purist so this pack suits me perfectly. In sum these are quality highlighters that will get the job done for a long time. A worthwhile investment.

Smooth and versatile

The yellow color is very bold and vibrant really highlighting the homework text and key phrases for my students. I love the chisel tip which ensures that I am able to underline text neatly when needed. It does not smudge and is both comfortable and smooth to use. Highly recommend.
