Solid Highlighter but Smears

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This highlighter is a great addition to my stationery collection. The bright yellow color stands out clearly on the page and I really appreciate the comfortable grip—it makes long highlighting sessions easier on the hand. I also love that it's shorter in length than most conventional highlighters which makes it perfect for tossing in a travel bag or pencil case without taking up too much space. The only downside is that it does tend to smear my pen ink a bit even if I wait a few minutes for it to dry. It’s not a deal-breaker but something to keep in mind depending on what kind of pen you're using. Overall a solid and handy highlighter!

Bright and Juicy Highlighter

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Staples Hype Stick Highlighter lives up to the hype. It's a highlighter that delivers a vibrant bold yellow on every stroke. It is also definitely a highlighter yellow not muted or dull. The ink pops off the page which is what any pen with the word "highlighter" in the name should do. The chisel tip is sharp and stiff so you get a consistent line all the way across your page. The tip also was clean and didn't fray after I used it for a while. I even used the pen for some lettering and it stayed consistent as I looped around the page. Even though the tip is firm the pen is very juicy. It puts down a full layer of ink every time without any odors or toxic smells. It doesn't skip or fade giving you a solid line. I used it to highlight printed documents on printer paper write over ballpoint ink and letter on thicker art paper. It performed great in all situations and didn't smear. The pen itself has a nice smooth and thin barrel making it comfortable to hold. If you're looking for a bright yellow highlighter that delivers every time the Staples Hype Stick Highlighter does exactly that.

Great highlighter

I really liked these highlighters as they are very bright. they have a chisel tip that is great to perfectly highlight what you need in one precise sweep. I use these highlighters to check my kids work and highlight errors which makes it easy for them to find and correct. My kids also use them for studying as they can highlight keep points in their books to later reference if needed. I also really like that they don’t bleed through the page like other ones I’ve tried before. Great highlighter and I highly recommend

Versatile and bright highlighters

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These Staples Hype Stick Highlighters are a must-have for anyone like myself who loves to organize notes and emphasize important information! This 12-count pack has been great for distributing around the house into various laptop bags work stations and purses to always have one on hand. The chisel tip is versatile allowing for both broad strokes and fine lines which is perfect for different highlighting needs whether I'm reading a book or working on a printed document for a presentation. I really appreciate how smoothly these highlighters glide across the page without any skipping. The ink is incredibly bright and dries quickly so I don’t have to worry about smudging my writing which is a huge plus. The only thing I have to keep them from being five stars is bleed resistance on different paper. I found no issues of bleeding on typical printer paper but had significant bleed through on several different books. Overall Staples Hype Stick Highlighters provide excellent quality and very vibrant color. They’ve become an essential tool in my organization for work and I highly recommend them to anyone looking to brighten up their notes or make studying more effective!

A great highlighter with no smudge

I noticed that this particular highlighter did not make any smudges when going over handwritten ink and also typed ink. This is a high quality highlighter that produces amazing results. I recommend this for both students and professionals.
