I used to use only EcoNotes but I found these at Staples and like the covers more. I wish it came in a 5 subject which would be more convenient and also more eco-friendly. The are comparable to EcoNotes and of better quality than regular paper only notebooks. The front and back covers are hard not flimsy so they are easy to write in even if you don't have a table or desk. They have 2 pockets at the front which is not usually found in notebooks without plastic like the 5Stars. For children or those who like to decorate for their subjects these are awesome because if you get the plain cover (or any) the surface is excellent for writing and decor with pens markers crayons etc. I've been using these for about 6 months now and I am very satisfied and only wish it came in a 3 or 5 subject.

Sugarcane notebook

I love this notebook. This is my 6th. The cover is made of sugarcane pulp. It is very sturdy. It's a little heavy to carry in your suitcase but strong enough to write on your lap so to me it is worth it. The Spiral is really strong and never crushes. When is that ever the case? The notebook lays flat when open or wrapped front to back. The paper is the perfect weight slightly heavy. It makes great paper airplanes. The pages are perforated so they separate cleanly. The only problem I have right now is that I can't choose my cover design because Staples doesn't stock them in my store anymore. Please return these to the store (I like picking my own cover design).

perfect interactive science notebook

Both of my sons have been required to maintain interactive science notebooks during high school. These books work perfectly the cover stays on there is room to tape in the required contents and by May they are still in decent shape. Would highly recommend these notebooks for this application.

Fountain Pen Dream

Purchased this because of the reviews recommending it for use with fountain pens. Most notebook paper bleeds through the paper or at least shows through to the other side. This paper does a remarkable job at stopping that. I will be purchasing this in other formats now that I know how well this paper performs. Staples please keep this in stock in the stores in more sizes.

I have been using these notebooks exclusively since college and still love them. It is very hard to find a hard cover notebook that is also college ruled and 5 subject and these are also sustainably sourced and an affordable price. Definitely recommend.
