I went through a few different binding machines and this was perfect for making real estate binders. They are quick to make and easy to exchange in new sheets (great for real estate when promotions and price changes happen).

Great Addition to Our Homeschool!

I just used my new comb binding machine and can say that I am very much pleased! It took me a while to learn how it worked, but once I got the hang of it, it was smooth sailing. I haven't been able to punch 15 pages at a time, but I don't mind. As long as I am able to make the workbooks that my children need, I'm a happy Mama!
Pros: Alignment Guide, Quality Construction, Safety Features
Cons: Punch Capacity
I would recommend this to a friend!

Looks Good on Desk, Functions Perfectly

I created my own "personal diet and exercise journal", printed off a bunch of sheets and was looking at my options on binding the pages together. I didn't really want to use a hole puncher and bulky 3 ring binder. I found this comb binder and I am sure glad I bought it. Now instead of buying yearly planners, I can make my own. My daughter is homeschooling her 1st grader and is already planning on using it, and my daughter-in-law is a 1st year school teacher, and she is looking forward to using it as well. It looks stylish sitting on my desk, it is of good weight (not heavy though), and it punched perfect holes thru 15 sheets of regular computer paper.
Pros: Alignment Guide, Binding Capacity, ease of use, Punch Capacity, Quality Construction

Doesn't last

I've had this unit for about two years. We bind about 100 documents per year at about 10 to 15 pages each. The unit no longer works. You can't put the paper in far enough to get it to punch the holes on the paper. There doesn't seem to be any way to adjust it. It's really hard to know if you have the paper or cover in far enough to punch properly. I'd look for something else in the future. Not worth the money.
Pros: Safety Features
Cons: Alignment Guide, Document / Comb Measurement Guide, Ease of Use
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

easy purchase

The comb binder section is excellent and easy, and a huge improvement over the 25-year-old binder it is replacing. The small handle for opening and closing the combs is great. The vertical puncher is not as easy to use as a horizontal puncher, having to hold the papers up rather than resting them horizontally. The black color and small print on the puncher make it hard for me to accurately insert my pages. Too hard to see easily. It was hard for me to find the punched paper container on the side.
This was a replacement for a more expensive comb binder I have used for years: That one had the "hooks" that pull the comb open made of plastic, and somehow while in storage two of them broke off. This machine has nice steel hooks, and in general seems well made. As others have said, the instructions might just as well have never been written: I could operate the machine because I had used that other one for years, but it still took me a while to figure out how to orient the comb. The same "manual" at Fellowes website, just two pages in each of several languages, offers essentially no help. The old one also allowed up to one inch combs, I miss that.
Pros: Alignment Guide, Quality Construction
Cons: Binding Capacity, documentation!

very easy to bind multiple pages without straining. It cuts the holes easy. from there it is easy to add pages to the binding comb. What would make this better is if there was a vertical guide to hold pages from folding over while binding.
Pros: Binding Capacity, Document / Comb Measurement Guide, ease of use, Quality Construction, Safety Features
