Great Binding Machine - Lightweight/Portable, Functional, & Attractive

The Fellowes Star+ 150 Manual Comb Binding Machine is wonderful! It’s great for personal use or a small office. Office uses include things such as sales brochures or internal manuals. Personal uses include things like school reports for your kids, recipe books, homemade photo booklets, etc. I have an old comb binding machine, made by a competitor of this manufacturer, and I much prefer this one. The old machine is not bad, but it is about 40 years old and is metal and VERY heavy. It still works but I’ve found the Fellowes Star+ 150 is the binding machine that I’ll use going forward. This machine is so lightweight that it is easy to carry with you to do your binding in the most convenient location for you. The main thing is to use it on a flat surface. The removable drawer, accessible from the right side of the base, catches the punched pieces for easy disposal. There is also another drawer in the base that can be used to hold a few the plastic combs. The plastic combs are available in several colors (e.g., red, black, white) and several sizes from 0.25” diameter (for 2-20 pages) up to 1.0625” (for 121-150 pages). The binding covers come in colors and clear plastic so you can use a color for the back of your booklet and a clear cover displaying your title page for the front cover. As a cost saver you can even use cardstock for the covers. You can punch up to 12 pages at a time and the black punch handle seems very sturdy. The unit is attractive and when the top and punch handle are in the closed position, the unit has a fairly small footprint. This is a great product and I did some price research and it’s very fairly priced for such a useful product and I highly recommend it for your comb binding needs. Note that all plastic combs and binding covers are sold separately from the actual binding machine.

great comb binding

came in mail quit and about half hour playing around figure it out and put to get her two books that night and the third book next morning. had to ordered bigger comb for bigger book.

19 punch holes instead of 21

From experience i knew that fellowes is a great brand but my last purchase really left me wondering. I bought this machine on amazon and it states that it has 21 punch holes which is what i need but i received the machine and it turns out it only has 19 punch holes. I called the manufacturer explained the issue to them they send me a replacement and turns out the replacement also has 19 punch holes instead of 21. Wasted time wasted money. I even opened up the machine to make sure and the plate only has 19 teeth to punch holes

I am sorry for the confusion and inconvenience! All of our plastic comb binding machines and accessories are based off of a 19 punch system. After looking at the Amazon product page, I am unable to locate the error in the hole punch count. We would love to get this updated and fixed in order to prevent something like this from happening in the future. Great for small projects

This binding machine works well for small presentation handouts. We're very happy with the design and functionality. Now we can hand out informational material with pride knowing that it looks professional and neat.

I really do love this product. It works well for the small office that I work in. I use it about 3 times a week binding policies up to 120 pages. doesn't even take me 3 minutes to do one policy because of the ease of use. Love the storage feature as well as sometimes I have to carry this from one office to another. Also love the punching guide to keep the consistency of the hole punches on all pages and policies. I would recommend this product to anyone!!
