One does a whole large load. If I have a garment or two with a tough stain, I'll add 2 pods. Ocean Mist is the best!

It's really a good product for people who like an easy solution except that I found the plastic clear portion sometimes does not dissolve completely. I have had a few shirts ruined that way because I did not notice the clear film before I dried it. It does not happen often but it is something I worry about every time.

Up until recently you would have gotten a five star rating from me ...but....Recently I have noticed that the pods are NOT disintegrating the way they - were- / were intended to- NOW - frequently the pods leave a dark blue stain on clothes - however you have altered these pods - please stop. Up until quite recently I have been extremely happy with the quality of these pods and more importantly - the results- right now - I'm trying to figure out how to get the blue out of the clothes - and yes I am sure it's the pods - I'm finding the " plastic " wrapper (as it were ) in the washer after the cycle is completed.....

Sticky residue & blue stains!!

I wanted to love these pods - so easy and you don't have a cup to clean out. However, recently I started to get dark blue stains on a few items. And there have been hard plastic-like residue sticking to items. At first I thought that someone was wrong with the washer or something was in pockets. But then it happened on a load of sheets. After a little investigating I became suspicious that it was the Tide pods. Sure enough I look at reviews and others have the same problem. I don't mind paying more for convenience, but now it has destroyed my new Jennifer Adams sheets, towels and some clothes!!

Apartment Dweller's Dream!

We live in an apartment and for YEARS I would take my big container of generic liquid detergent down to the laundry room. It was heavy, messy, frequently fell off of a full basket, and I felt like I was probably using more detergent than I needed. Then Tide Pods came out and laundry became enjoyable again! I just toss a pod in my pocket along with quarters and I'm good to go. If I am doing a load of my kids' clothing I also toss in a stain boost pod, so easy! I have never had a problem with staining, and only once did the "plastic" not dissolve completely (we were washing a comforter, and I think there wasn't enough room left for the water to flow properly). Pods make laundry so much easier for me I doubt I will ever stop using them, even after we move into our house. These things are awesome!

I have always used Tide, my husband works in construction so Tide works great on getting stubborn stains out. I also have kids and it works great on their clothes as well. Here recently I have noticed blue stains on our clothes and sticky stuff on them as well. After accusing my son of leaving gum or candy in his pockets I realized that it was from the Tide Pods that I was using. I have ruined numorous items from the Pods not dissolving properly and I will no longer be using this product due to the fact that I cannot afford to purchase new clothes every time I wash. This was a great product at one time but not anymore. Don't change something that is working.

The pods used to work great. My favorite black Old Navy Fleece Pants got destroyed. I thought maybe someone put glue or gum in the washing machine, but after reading these reviews, I see it was from the Pods. I want to be reimbursed for the cost of my favorite pants!!!! Or at least send me a sample of a product that will get the stiff white residue off of them.

i started using the pods and now i have ruined about 3 shirts of my husband, 4 of his pullovrs, two of my bowling shirts, jeans and my sports pants, it is awful because i did not know to check to see where the little plastic cover was going to be i have always just shook out the articles of clothing and put them in the dryer but doing so i ruined the items i am a tide user but if it is not the powder i will not be us8ing it again
