Great Product!

I had read the comments regarding this product and was skeptical. I'm not sure what others are doing incorrectly to make the Pods not dissolve or laundry smelling funny. Today was the first time I have used them and my clothes smelled great and the Pods dissolved completely there were no stains on my clothes. Will definitely will start buying these for their convenience and cleaning.

So easy and lightweight to use in the dorms instead of carrying heavy detergent up and down steps!

Wish I would have read the reviews before purchasing the pods. I didn't think there would be a risk in buying these, but I thought wrong. The pods didn't dissolve all the way (even though it wasn't a full load) and I didn't notice until after they were dried. I guess I should be thankful that Christmas is right around the corner, so people can buy me new clothes. I guess it works for some people, but I don't think it's worth the risk.

I’m sorry the Tide PODS aren’t dissolving properly. We appreciate your bringing this to our attention. If you haven’t done so already, I hope you’ll try the following tips for best results:
• Switch to a warm water setting during the winter months or whenever water is exceptionally cold.
• Do not overload your washer. Overloading may cause the pac to get trapped inside fabric folds.
• Be sure to store the product in a cool, dry area and close the package after each use. I hope this is helpful.

LOVE Tide Pods

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Tide Pods are the only thing that I will use for our laundry! The Tide Sport, though hard to find, is the only detergent that I have found that actually makes our gym clothes smell fresh. My husband is in the military and often "forgets" to take his gym clothes and towels out of his bag, which causes a Horrible smell that has been nearly impossible to get rid of. One time trying the Sports Pods and I am hooked. I do not use it on our everyday clothing, because it tends to be a bit to harsh, but it does the job when I need it the most!!!!

Blue Stains and No Instructions
on November 17, 2012

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very happy with the Tide Pods up until recently when I started noticing blue stains. I ruined several blouses because of this! I wash everything on the cold cycle and the package claims that they can be used in cold and warm cycles. Clearly this is not the case. The responses on here from Tide also suggest that if you 'use as directed' there shouldn't be any staining. There are not such instructions on the tub. Even if I wanted to 'use as directed' I don't know what that is. Apparently I need to use a warmer cycle to fully dissolve the pack. Would have been nice to know ahead of time....

I’m very sorry you found a blue stains on your clothing after using Tide PODS. I want to assure you this product was extensively tested before it went to market and this is not something we encountered while developing the product. Tide PODS should not leave any stains when used as directed. To remove the stain, we recommend rewashing the garment with detergent and your favorite stain treatment. If that doesn’t help, please try the following:
1. Rinse under hot water to remove as much of the stain as possible.
2. Ring the garment out and lay flat.
3. Apply household rubbing alcohol directly to the stain, making sure it covers the entire stain. Note: Test on a similar fabric or an inside fold first.
4. Let the alcohol soak into the stain for at least 10 minutes – the longer the better.
5. Rinse stain thoroughly under warm or hot water.
6. If the entire stain has not been removed, repeat steps 1-5.

I hope this is helpful.

Common sense, people!
on November 18, 2012

After reading through some of these reviews it seems that a lot of people are adding the pods to their laundry after adding their clothes and then starting the cycle. Why would you do that??
I have been using the pods for a while now and have never had a problem. I put one in my machine (non HE) let it dissolve and THEN add my clothes. I can't say what would happen if a massive flood occurred in my laundry room, but I'm guessing that ruined detergent would be the least of my problems. I don't think Tide are claiming that their packaging is air and water tight and could withstand nuclear attack.
I feel like a little common sense would go a long way...
