Nice thick plastic with tabs attached for each folder that can be turned up for use and labeling the folders. I expect these to last a long time. Fit perfectly into my folder drawer

These hanging folders are okay; better than the one with the cheapend lightweight white hangers. Pendaflex used to make good hanging file folders and now they DO NOT slide easily on the sides of the files. These slide better but take up more space. Would give them a higher rating if you could get a box of ONE color rather than assorted.
