A Perfect Solution for my Home Office

I am so pleased with the 2-drawer lateral file from Staples!. I have many files of papers on the floors of 2-3 rooms of my home. My home office also serves as a guest room and computer room so it is important that the light color non-dominating size and the way paper is filed are attractive and convenient as I sit at my computer armoire. It is nice to stay seated and approach the file from the front longer side. The arrangement of sections of the file is perfect for staying seated and for having plenty of space to file. I am excited about sorting and consolidating my piles so that my house looks neater and I can find things more easily. A fresh start with Pendaflex folders and manila file folders inspires and calms me.

The Staples 2-Drawer Later File Cabinet is well-made counterbalanced at the base and accommodates both legal and letter-size documents. It arrived fully-assembled and was easy to set-up once the packaging was removed. It incorporates anti-tip features in addition to the base-weight such as a drawer interlock system that prevents both drawers from opening at the same time. It works as an efficient document storage system and fits well with other office features.

Just perfect for us

We like the clear lines of the lateral file cabinet. And this size just fit in the bay of our dormer windows at home. It is wonderful that each drawer of the file holds more than 1 and a half times what a regular file drawer holds. There are several features we like about the system. The drawers lock they can be set for letter or legal size and a good safety feature is that only one drawer can be opened at a time. The base is weighted for additional safety. The only potential con is the construction of the top is not a strong as it could be so caution might be of concern if using the top as a shelf.
