It does what it says on the box. Provides a cover for documents the tabs are in an "assorted position" which is helpful in the filing cabinet and you can punch holes into the folder should you need to. I would prefer the card to be thicker but you get what you pay. I can't complain. Staples usually beat the prices of their competitors and in this case they do. I go through a couple of boxes of Manila Folders (200+ folders) per year and always buy these following a few bad experiences with lessor quality brands.

They hold SO MANY PAPERS!!

I love these manila file folders!! They are so plain I very much enjoy how nondescript they are. I also love that the tabs are alternating- you can actually see what you've labeled your files assuming that you used a computer or have decent handwriting. Also at the bottom they have prefolded lines that if you fold them again on this line they will hold probably an entire ream of paper. Unlike most printers. So here's the lesson: if you're thinking about buying a printer buy these folders instead!

Great Colors

We use these colors to indicate the year in taxes. One year might be green then next year will be another color and so on for the four colors. When we use all the pastels we purchace the bright colors. Our accountant seems to appreciate the change from the usual manilla colored folders.
