The cabinet will work for what I need but the quality is not what I would expect for the price!

It is described as a locking 2 drawer lateral file. The drawer glides work very well but I tried the lock before transferring my files into this cabinet and yes the drawers did lock. However when I tried to unlock the drawers only the lower drawer would unlock. It took multiple attempts at trying to adjust the top drawer to get it to clear the locking mechanism. I finally got the upper drawer open but will not be using the lock on this cabinet again. If you really need a locking file then I would not recommend this unit.

Just the file cabinet for me

I purchased this file cabinet on a lark because I was tired of the clutter and tired of looking at file cabinets that were too expensive for me. This one fits the bill perfectly and suits all my filing/storage needs.Plus it's made of recycled materials.

We are really happy with the file cabinet and only wish that we purchased a taller one with 3 drawers. It is very sturdy and works great for us to keep our student's files organized. We are opening and closing the file about 100 times per day and it is holding up well. The drawers glide smoothly and it closes quietly. I would definitely purchase again!
