Should not advertise as "outdoor" holder.

i have purchased 2 of the outdoor large brushed nickel metal hooks for my glass front door. I followed the exact directions, using rubbing alcohol etc.
A few hours after I placed the hook on the door and applied my wreath (well within weight limit) my wreath and the hook fell off my door, damaging my wreath both times. These particular hooks are not cheap and to buy them to keep trying to make it work is just not conducive. Not sure what else you can do, but I do not think you should advertise this product can also be used on glass. Very disappointed.

Disappointed

I got a new door almost two years ago and needed a new hook since it is a fiberglass door with a glass window vs the old wood door we had a nail in for my wreaths. I followed the instructions for the hook which was installed on the glass portion of the door and hung wreath later in the day(hours later) and it fell off only hours later. Though maybe had bad adhesive strips so purchased more and the exact same thing happened. Not sure how great these outdoor hooks are if the fall after a short period of time.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Outdoor hooks

I have been buying these hooks because they have been great. I was excited to see the outdoor one finally. I thought this one would work better then the other ones i used on my class storm door, which never seem to stay on with my wreaths. Well to my surprised it failed!!!! I cleaned the whole door with alcohol to make sure it worked perfect. followed the directions for stronger hold just in case. waited the extra time and then finally put my wreath up...... until later that afternoon when i was leaving and saw my wreath on the floor hook and all. I went as far as to purchase another thinking maybe the weight but it happen again. So disappointing that it never worked and a waste of money.

Lasted 5 days and then fell off

We followed all of the instructions to use this hook for our wreath on our new fiberglass door. This morning we heard a weird sound and when we went to investigate the hook had fallen off the door. Thankfully it didn't rip off any of the paint. I felt the adhesive and it was barely even sticky anymore! Our door is under a covered porch and gets no rain, super disappointed in this product.

Perfect heavy weight hook

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this hook free from 3m. I have been very pleased with its ability to hold heavy items. We recently had a new front door put on and were not wanting to use any type of hook that might damage it.
This hook is working wonderfully! We have been very pleased with is design and ability to go up and come down with ease.

Disappointed beyond belief

Until now I had nothing but praise for command hooks. I have them everywhere in my home. I recently started making deco mesh wreaths and I've successful hung them on command hooks indoors, so naturally I thought the outdoor hook would work on my glass door. I was completely wrong in my assumption! I followed the directions to the letter twice, and it works for about an hour, and then it falls. Two broken wreaths later. I give up!

We would absolutely expect this product to work great for your application as long as the weight limits are followed. Is it possible your glass was cleaned with glass cleaner instead of alcohol? We only ask as this and other cleaners can leave an invisible residue that interferes with our adhesive. HELP

I really really need help with this outdoor hook. First time I put up my wreath outside of my front entrance, it lasted few months and fell. Bought new set of strips used with the original hook and it's plastic holder but with no luck it fell again. I am tired of buying strips and most of all my wreaths are getting damaged by falling down. My question do I need to buy a new holder again and this holder life span run until it falls for the first time. Really disappointing then. Now the hook sticks to the door until I put my wreath and drops dead once wreath is on.
