Not what they say it is

I found when using the green multi-surface Frog tape after taking it off the surface of my walls, which had been painted 8 months prior professionally, it peeled the paint. It does not leave a nice edge like it claims too as it still had paint bleed in spots. I found it really didn't work any better than any other painters tape. I now have to have my painters come back in to fix my walls. I guess that will teach me to believe their advertising and use it again to paint the rest of my trim. Waste of money.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Painting Lines On Fabric, Or Anywhere Else, Is A Test

I've previously written about my other uses for FrogTape and now, I want to address, how I use it with paint and fabrics. Clothing is important for a lot of people and they want to create their own visual picture. I have used stencils and directly painted on fabric with a brush, or sprayed it, etc. It has been very diluted or thick. When spraying, you can get the better clean, sharp, and even lines with less of a chance of bleeding, or keep from being over saturated on the fabric. Whatever you are painting, this technique will be similar with a tape such as this.
The most important aspect of painting, is to test an area or process before starting. Then, you figure out the drying time, and when is the proper time to lift off the tape. Every paint type and brand, not to mention even color, will be different. If there are layers, then weather can affect this also. Because FrogTape has repositioning properties and does not rip all over the place, it ends up saving time and money. My only beef is that the company does not have the other type available where I have seen it sold. The tape also holds down the stencils, which is important. It can be cut in appropriate ways to insure that placement will allow for the right texture and design, the first time. The five star rating is for versatility which is my main objective.

Usually I just "cut" the edges, but this time I had to paint above plastic coving. Cutting just didn't cut it! Running a line of Frog Tape Multi-Surface made simple work of a task that doesn't always appeal to me. Now, if I could just win a Mustang or Econoline van! Or the lottery-just about as much chance. Good thing that Frog Tape is easy to use!

Switched from Blue Painter's Tape to Frog Tape

Our painting business has switched from using blue painter's tape to Frog Tape. Most of our work is high-end interior custom painting and keeping paint off what its supposed to is crucial. We made the switch because using blue tape without hard burnishing onto trim always left some bleeding. With Frog Tape we are able to firmly tape our project and have zero bleeding issues to clean up after the paint project. The higher cost of tape is minimal compared to the price of labor and distress.

I have always painted free hand rather than wasting time to tape edges. Never again. Now taping actually saves time and work.
