We have used both these and other brands that are supposed heavy duty. Found that the Staples boxes are stronger and just as tough if not more so than name brand products. They are excellent for case files using at least one box sometimes more per case. Boxes are easy to store both in our offices and in the storage sheds that we use for older cases files. Government entities require us to keep records for six to ten years which makes for a lot of case files. Boxes hold up when sometimes they get wet from accidental spilling of water coffee or drinks. Seal decent to keep out bugs.
For many years of multiple office and home moves including cross country these boxes are our go to. We use them to store records files and all sorts of stuff. They work great for book and files because they are small compact and durable and can't be overloaded by the inexperienced packer. They also stack neatly and are easy to carry. Another benefit to these boxes is they deconstruct and can be used again and again. Although you want to be careful dismantling the lid because the little flaps on the long sides can tear off when unfolding the sides.
Purchased these boxes to pack up material from wife's office. These boxes were economical easy to assemble and 30 boxes later had my wife's office neat and organized. I would recommend this product
I was really surprised how sturdy these boxes are. I'm going to store all my old income tax files and papers in them. I'm also going to use them for storage of computer supplies wires phone cords etc.. I'm going to print out labels on card stock and put them in small sandwich bags that I'm going to glue on the front of the boxes. This way I can add or change the contents of what's inside. I just have to open the bags and change the label or contents. My husband has so many small tools cans of glue etc. that I'm going to use them for his storage. We're going to order another set of 10 boxes.
My husband recently moved his accounting offices across town. The firm has tons of files! As with most moves they had more stuff than they bought boxes for so I ran out last minute to pick up more. Thankfully they were in stock at our local Staples. The boxes are easy to assemble strong and reusable. Since their move we've taken some boxes home and cleaned out some of our own clutter. These boxes are not meant for storing rocks or anvils and the lids are not very deep so they are not ideal for long-term stacking of a lot of heavy boxes on top of each other but three boxes that are not over-stuffed should be fine.
