Original scent change is terrible.

Why would you change your formula without warning customers, or changing product labeling? Feels like a bait and switch, will not buy your products again, dissatisfied with the changes.

We're letting the rest of our team know that you'd like to see some changes, and you'd like to see some labeling on our bottles, but in the meanwhile we've got some good news for you. The old Original that you love just underwent a name change: it's now our Mountain Spring scent. Check it out!

A change to the original scent with no packaging change to indicate the change? Some might call that bait-n-switch. After using Tide for over 20 years you just made us switch to a different brand.

HORRENDOUS NEW SCENT

The new “Original” scent is HORRIBLE. I don’t understand why Tide made such a drastic change in their product and didn’t disclose the scent change on their packaging.

HORRIBLE new scent

Disappointed that Tide didn’t disclose that they made a major scent change and sold the new formula as the “original” to people. Waste of money, waste of trip to the store to buy a different brand.

New scent!

Tide has been with my family through FOUR generations, and today is something new...a mild new scent! We love it. My kids think I’m responsible, so I’m taking the credit :)
I would recommend this to a friend!

I noticed a change in the smell of Tide when I bought a new jug from Costco. I like the change. To me it smells fresher but it is still the same Tide clean.
I would recommend this to a friend!

strong new scent

I've used original liquid Tide for quite a while with no problems. Now the last two bottles have a STRONG new scent that I cannot tolerate. Will not buy any more.

Awful smell

What happened to the original scent. This ‘new original’ is so overwhelming. Even after drying the laundry outside the smell of cheap detergent stayed. Why wasn’t this announced on the containers?
