Scent change: Excessively strong

I have used Tide Original for years. I love that I can get nearly all stains out using it. It is the only detergent I will use. Due to asthma and strong fragrances causing breathing problems for me I have been happy that Original Tide was a detergent that wasn't to strong and I could have a I scent without having breathing issues. I just opened a new jug of Tide Original and put a load of clothes in the wash. I can't walk into my laundry room now because the scent is overwhelming. No where on the new container does it say anything about a scent change. I am very unhappy that I now have TWO 170 ounce jugs of detergent I will not be able to use with no warning of the change and a room I can not walk in to for several hours as I wait for the scent to dissipate with a window open in the middle of winter.

New scent? Too strong!

I just did a wash with a new bottle of Tide and found it had a new scent. The new scent is overpowering and smells like chemicals. The awful scent still clings to my clothes days later, even after running them through the dryer - I will have to buy a different brand of detergent and rewash those clothes. Note: the new scent is so strong that I cannot wear my clothes to choir practice where we are prohibited from wearing strong perfumes or colognes as they are offensive to some singers. I never had any issues with the old Tide scent. Please bring back the old scent. Until then I will use another brand.

New scent is terrible

I’m a 3rd generation Tide user. It’s my go to brand every time. My grandmother used it to remove oil stains from my grandpas work clothes. My mom used it. The fragrance hasn’t been good over the past few years though. It smells fruity. I grew up with the “clothesline fresh” scent. Sweet isn’t a clean smell to me. Please bring back OG Tide. I miss the smell of clean.

Horrible scent

I have been a loyal Tide liquid user for a number of years and with great success. The only drawback is the repugnant fragrance as it no longer smells clothes line fresh

Tide Original Scent is not the original at all

I've been reading through the reviews because I recently purchase Tide Original Scent in the bottle for the purpose of treating stains. I usually buy the individual pacs of the unscented free

My Head is Killing Me!

What in the world happened to the wonderful, clean smell of original Tide liquid??? My clothes smell like a cheap perfume factory now, even after washing the entire load for a second time with NO DETERGENT! The new scent is so overpowering, that I get headaches when I walk into my laundry area where my clothes are hanging to dry. I purchased 4 big jugs of this detergent, and now I have to return them to the store! I've been a loyal Tide customer for over 30 years! Wow!
