Stinks now

I've used Tide for about 40 years, and depended on it to smell good. It now smells like a grapefruit truck exploded in my laundry room. This stuff stinks now.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Want to love it....

What’s going on with Tide?! Been using for 15 years, always trusted Original Tide for clean clothes and fresh scent. This one is different, after reading reviews they changed the “Original” scent and now the original is Mountain Spring?? How does that make sense?? The reviews for the original Tide have plummeted to 3.5 star rating merely bc they changed the scent, please fix this problem Tide. Love your products but I want to know Im using the Original that was in fact the Original, not “Mountain Spring” and yes scent is subjective and a personal preference but changing the original and still calling it original is not a welcome change. Will be looking at other detergent brands until the Original Tide is back. Please consider going back to original scent Tide, thank you!!

The original scent change is not good!

I do not like the new scent! I have used Tide original all of my adult life. I even grew up with it because its what my mother used. The new scent is not pleasant and fresh smelling. It is very overwhelming. I have started looking for something different.

I want my money back or a replacement

I got hooked on Tide Original a few years ago when I received a sample to test. I fell in love with it. It was the best laundry detergent I ever used and believe me – I tried many. With Tide Original, my clothes were finally clean. I also liked the delicate scent. I bought it twice more – small bottles 25 loads each. One was “regular” and one was “he”. They still worked perfectly.
This time I “went big” and bought 92 fl oz for 64 loads. It has “he” on the front and also in yellow letters on the back: “Concentrated formula vs. formula as of 03/01/20”. Oh my - I hate it so much! It did not wash my clothes. I tried washing twice with increasing concentration of the detergent and the yellow sweat stains were still prominent. The previous Tide Original dealt with them at the first go in the same washing machine, on the same wash program. Also the smell is just overbearing. The previous Tide Original did not leave strong smell on clothes. It was just a faint, pleasant whiff. This laundry detergent leaves such a strong smell that it is just nauseating. It is a perfume-like smell, but it is just so strong I cannot even keep my clothes in the bedroom because I cannot sleep. And to make it even worse, the smell of sweat is still hidden under this strong perfume, which makes even more nauseating mixture.
So what now? I abhor this laundry detergent and I want my money back. Or a replacement with a product with the previous formula. And I swear, I will never buy Tide again! Unless it brings back the old formula from before 03/01/20!

Don't Buy

Tide Original smells like purfume now. P&G is so incompetent that they will not listen to the customers. They tell you to buy Mountain Spring which is hard to find in stock. I've told my local stores multiple times to order more, but hasn't helped. I've changed to Gain after using Tide since 1980s. Thanks for companies that are too big to fail. So ignorant and mind-boggling.

Then new smell is awful

There should have been a warning on the bottle. I was trying to figure out what was wrong with my washing machine or what I had washed with my clothes to make them smell so awful. That was wasted money. I'm done with Tide. My mother used it so I've used it........about 40 years.

works great on washing clothing!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I began buying this a while back and I am still impressed with how well it cleans my clothing. My clothes always come out smelling fresh and are very clean. You only need to use the amount that is stated on the load - no more. I will continue buying this product.

New Scent is Horrible

Tide changed the scent of this product. It smells like bad men's cologne. Do NOT buy this new version. It's in the 92oz container, which they reduced form the original 100oz container. Please bring back the old scent.

You will be able to do the same amount of loads with fewer ounces of detergent.
