I decided to adapt this file caddy to hold two stacked Insta-Crates that I bought from Costco with the top one holding hanging files. This caddy is a quality product and it was very easy to simply drill four additional holes in the metal frame to adapt it to my file boxes. Would recommend this to anyone especially those with traditional file cabinets they want to move around easily. One caution though. If you’re going to use a file caddy this way please make sure you seal off the bottom of the file cabinet with some rigid plastic or metal. This will prevent mice—either inside or out—from getting into your files because of the increased access provided by the file caddy elevating the file cabinet off the floor. I learned this lesson the hard way in a garage with a four-drawer filling cabinet I rarely accessed—it only takes one mouse to do A LOT of damage!

Simply assemble the file Caddy place it on the file cabinet then set the entire assembly up on its new wheels. Great device for those files that need to move about the room to various work stations. Not to sure about the casters (being they ar plastic). Time will tell. If I have to upgrade those its a quick fix/repair.
