They are nice and big. I use them on waste baskets to keep the bag from falling down inside of the waste basket or trash bin.

These bands can hold lots of papers and folders together. You can stretch them without breaking them. We've bought them frequently over the years (we've got a lot of things to bundle together) and they don't seem to wear out or get crinkley and break over time. The color variety is nice but doesn't seem to have any affect on the holding power and we haven't tried to use them for color coding but you could do that. I even used one to hold pieces together for a superglue repair fix on an awkard shape and it held fine.
