T-Pin Glee

While looking at the beautiful bulletin board that I had custom made for my home office I kept thinking that thumb tacks just wouldn't cut the mustard. What I really needed were T-pins or "push pins" as my Mom called them. After all with a cork backing and fabric front and rear mounting on the wall I needed something durable with length. I went to Staples because I've always been able to get great office supplies and the store staff is so courteous. Now I have T-Pin Glee!
I was hoping to use these pins on vinyl but they aren't strong enough to pierce vinyl.

Tried to use tacks not long enough tried to use poster pins not strong enough. Found these Nickel Plated T-Pins on the Staples web site and we gave them a try - and they fit the bill. Not only are they long enough you insert them at an angle they will hold up a calendar. Plus they look professional.
They were just what i was looking to do a Macrame project. Could not find them in the craft stores. I did not think I would find them in staples. I am going to have to check staples first from now on.
I was thrilled to find these excellent T-pins at Staples. The clerk was friendly and so helpful in helping me to locate this product. I have been looking for quite some time for these t-pins. Another star for Staples! Thanks for always having what I need! up soYou can
T-pins are sturdy and will pierce any surface paper plaster board cork soft wood rubber and concrete under the right circumstances. In each case you have to apply the right amount of pressure and a steady hand (unless you are using a mechanical device). Should your hand wobble the possibility of bending the T pin exists. Applying steady pressure with thumb and forefinger is optimal 30 to 40 PSI is ideal at 1 second interval. After pinning 40 to 50 pins your thumb will feel sore and possibly lacerate this simply means you've gone over the top. Dunk your thumb in a bath of ice cold water and rest it so that it heals continue work as soon as comfort level permits. It is always recommend that you see a doctor in case of severe contusions as blood clots in the thumbs can be dangerous.
