I have an alcove that I’m turning into a home office. There’s already a countertop so I needed a file cabinet that would fit underneath. This one not only fits: it has wheels. It can go anywhere. Very happy. I only wish that Staples had a matching drawer unit to complete the desk.
The processing and delivery of the file cabinet by Staples was efficient and fast. The cabinet itself as reported in several other reviews was of basic bargain quality. There were indeed problems with attaching the handles and casters as also reported in previous reviews. The color size and castors were selling points for me. While this would be inadequate for heavy use in an office setting it's ok for storage of personal papers or perhaps supplies. Wait for it to be on sale.

Wrong holes in rear caster plate

This file cabinet's the bare minimum strong enough for a home office but be careful moving it. The metal bends easily. I always put a sheet under it any assembly and casterless moving across a room. I use this one and one I bought earlier for one subject each and they work well enough. But this is no Hon. The drawers don't glide as confidently the back of each drawer is practically inaccessible and the case may tip over if both drawers are open. Still the light weight pays off for a home office. I carried this one down stairs with no worry about hitting walls or banister or of dropping it (without the casters. It might be a little more difficult with them attached). I used it for a couple of months without the casters because I planned to move it eventually. Today I did. But after I took it downstairs and installed the front casters I discovered that the holes on the inner plates for the rear casters are on the wrong end. Think of the two plates as diamonds that overlap the case corner from the inside and the outside so they create a clamp when screwed together. That only works if the holes in each plate are on the opposite end of the diamond. On the inner plates that came with this cabinet the holes are wrong end of the diamond. So no clamp and no casters. I'm hoping the manufacturer can send two plates with holes in the right place.
Bought 4. Perfect for what I need! Helped me organize.

Terrible cheap metal drawers are easy to tip over when files are in them and came with dent in the side. I had to have one for my private files so I could lock it before move so I kept it not happy piece of tin junk!
