The actual cabinet is OK. However the instructions for assembling the casters are misleading. The front casters are impossible to screw in. The holes are too small for the screws.
File cabinet was more cheaply made than I had hoped. Not sure it would hold the heavy files that I bought it for so I had to rearrange some things in order to use it. There was a slight dent in the bottom corner which I kind of expected after seeing how flimsy it was. The wheels had to be installed by me and the brackets had 4 screw holes but only 2 screws supplied for each wheel and only 2 holes drilled in the cabinet for the 2 screw placements for each wheel. Made me think even more how cheaply made it was. It is a very pretty white file cabinet and I was fortunate that the dent was not in the front where it would have been very obviously seen. I managed to make it less 'dented' with pliers but still.... I have always been told "you get what you pay for". And I did.
The cabinet is quality yet lightweight and rolls around easily and properly; even on carpet and though the wheels are the hard plastic: The Staples's brand cabinet is quality. My first shipment was somehow damaged (online with quick delivery ) the second was better and I kept it.
In general the cabinet met expectations. But when I went to attach the handles one of the screws didn't have threads so I had to go to a hardware store to purchase one to finish the assembly. Very disappointed.
The 2-drawer Vertical Mobile File Cabinet that I returned because of a flaw in the paint was replaced with a second one delivered to my home today. I opened the box and discovered the very same defect in the paint on this one. I returned it to my local Staples in Latham NY. The store manager offered to sell me the floor model at discount but I refused because there was a dent in the side. I've decided not to order this item a third time.
