Have to repair and paint wall after using

Purchased from Target Dec 2023. Followed instructions to hang lights in room.
1. about 1/4 of them would fall off throughout the month while the lights were up
2. 3 months later i'm taking them off and the paint and sheetrock is coming off.
Will not buy again. Have to repair and repaint the wall. I question if anyone really uses this product, as it would rip their walls up.

Great hooks but adhesive turned yellow,won't stick

Love these hooks for small things, however after 1 year the adhesive turned yellow, crumbled and won’t stick anymore. So now I’m stuck with all these hooks and no glue strips to use them. Very disappointing.

What a waste...

I bought these 6 years ago to hang some paper decorations on the wall. They worked back then, but now I'm trying to remove them and use the extras I had from the initial purchase and not only are the strips breaking off the wall when removing them and leaving yellow marks, the extra strips have dried out and are no longer sticky or usable. I have over a dozen left that are now useless. Adding an additional star since they did hang what we needed to hang when we first bought them.

Sticky Fail

I purchased these last month to hang up garland for Christmas. I have used these in the past and they have worked great. They must have changed the adhesive. The adhesive now is clear and thin and does not stick to anything. The ones in the past were a sticky white foam adhesive.
I cleaned off the area first and let the adhesive stick for awhile. I hung up the garland and hooks came falling off! Ugh!

Old stock?

I bought these 3 days ago and used on a mirror behind fireplace. Followed exactly how to use and apply . Not only was the sticky part on the mirror not very sticky but after 4 hours abd barely touching the clear part that attaches came off in my hands. I even wore nitrile gloves to avoid any oil from skin. Old stock? I found a 5lb hook I bought 4 years ago with adhesive package, never used and stored in plastic bag in cool dark place. Same thing. Adhesive didn't work. And yes, service of mirror cleaned with alcohol and dry.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I like these, but 3M does not appear to offer refill backings. So these are not reusable. What a shame!

Lost adhesive quality before use

I went to use a second hook from this package, and found that ALL the adhesive is no longer sticky AT ALL. The strips are dried out and yellowed. This made me very sad because it meant I couldn't do the project I was about to do for my son's birthday. It also made me think that perhaps the first hook I installed fell off not long after I put it up NOT because it was installed in a shower bathroom... but because in fact the adhesive simply was not formulated to last. This package is NOT old at all.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Ripped paint

I bought these for a college dorm to hand stuff up, I ended up using only one of these as I had other command strips that I found to be more useful for the things I needed to hang. I used one and decided to take it down however it ripped paint off the wall. I pulled it off just as I would any command product however unlike the others this one ripped the paint. As mentioned I used it in a dorm room meaning I’m going to be fined who knows how much because of this. I wouldn’t recommend this specific command product and now I’m going to have to pay a minimum of 30 dollars.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
