Absolutely gets the job done

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I come from the position of an at home office job where I do not have to print excessive paper or possess sensitive information but I do have concern for my own sensitive information-and my family’s. Using the shredder was incredibly simple step one turn on the switch step two insert paper and watch it get eaten. It did truly eat 12 sheets no problem! It’s a very sleek design doesn’t look too different with the remaining office set up. I took an office call while it was running and had no issues being understood even when it was at my feet. Given my perspective having to plug in this additional machine is not the most convenient option however only plugging it in when needed is an option if that is your concern as well. The storage bin is easy to remove and doesn’t require emptying that often. My guess is every 100 sheets if you do them individually. Overall this mail mate shredder is a great option. Quiet efficient modern design.

I love the size of it it’s compact making it easy to put under my office desk not taking up much space at all! It’s heavy making it durable and not easy to knock over! The waste drawer is a good size to shred multiple things without having to dump it out all the time! It was easily able to shred up thick cardboard and even credit cards! Definitely a good shredder to have!

Great Shredder for Home Office

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been very pleased so far with the Staples Mail Mate 12-Sheet Micro-Cut Shredder. It offers many features that fit well with the needs for my family. I’ve used it on several occasions to shred important documents both for professional and personal needs. I work remotely in marketing and HR and this has come in handy when I’ve needed to shred multiple personal documents at a time. While you cannot use more than 12 standard size pages and need to have some “cool down periods” to keep from overheating it fits my needs. I haven’t experienced any overheating or jams so far with the jobs I’ve run. Last week I used it to shred old credit cards and a CD. I was amazed at how well it cut through the material. The shredder is generally quiet except when using for credit cards or CD’s. The bin size is good for up to medium size jobs. The paper or other acceptable items are shredded into such tiny pieces that the bin space will last awhile. I like how there is a window so you can see what level the bin capacity is at. There is also a “Bin Full” indicator to tell you it’s time to clean it. I keep the shredder in my basement which is where my home work office area is. It’s light and a perfect compact size which makes it easy to move it around. When not in use it’s unplugged and stored under my desk. We have young children and don’t want them trying to use the machine or open it up. Overall this shredder has been very easy to set up and use. I feel confident and safer knowing how well my sensitive documents are shredded into tiny pieces.

It’s collection bucket day s to small and must be changed frequently. Plus now it stops every few shreds and I have to turn it on and off constantly.
