My daughter who loves to write and draw all the time was having problems finding pens that didn't smear. She was so happy when I received them in the mail. I am one of those people that am very particular on my pens. I do love gel pens and hated that they always smudged, finally one that doesn't! I say give them a try! I only gave four stars because it wasn't comfortable in my hand.
