The Staples OneTouch hole punch is a solid effortless machine that you can trust to get it right every time. This hole puncher is heavier than its original version and works with an easygoing flow. Punching 30-35 sheets of paper is no problem 40 sheets takes a hand and directed pressure to make sure the holes are punched through completely with moderate effort. A good solid hole puncher!

I bought this hole-punch for a course whose instructor required students to print out ALL assigned reading materials from the e-texts each week to bring to class - a whopping 300 pages at a time! Rather than pay to have them drilled I replaced my old failing 10-page capacity hole punch with this one after reading other reviews. Wow! I am so impressed by the quality and capability. It made short easy work of punching stacks of pages at a time. With very little effort it punched through 40 pages and the pull-out tray keeps all the chads nicely contained (no loose confetti!) until I empty it. It's so easy to use and does such a good job of punching clean evenly-spaced holes that I find myself looking for ways to use it. It can even do 2-hole punching and/or hole positioning for a wide variety of paper sizes. I've never been so organized! The only cons I can find in using it are that the locking toggle on the handle - which I love for carrying it around - tends to slip sometimes when punching and locks the bar in the closed position and the tray for chads is a bit sticky to pull out so if it's full the pieces tend to fly out when you get it open. Both cons are very easy to forgive considering how well this punch does the job! Bottom line: Best manual hole punch I've ever run across and a smoking deal for the price.

I've punched a thousand or so pages punching 20 or 30 at a time. The unit works easily and feels like it'll last a long time.

This had the promise to be an amazing hole punch but I returned it because one of the three punches would leave the little punched out circle attached to the original sheet if fewer than 8 sheets were hole punched at a time and there was no adjustment to remedy this. If more than 8 were placed in the hole punch it worked as expected but I frequently hole punch single sheets of paper and certainly less than 8 sheets of paper most of the time so this was a deal breaker for me especially at this price. A hole punch should punch perfect holes every time as that is it’s job.
