terrible packaging

Love the paperclips the package they came in opened and the paperclips were all over the box. This also left us with the dilemma of where to store them.

#1 vinyl coated clips...Easy open container product just as advertised

All of the #1 size clips were vinyl coated. There were some that were coated in gray vinyl but they still had a vinyl coating. This was important to me because someone reviewing the larger (Jumbo) clips said the grey ones in that pkg were not vinyl coated. So I was happy with my purchase of the #1 cinyl coated paper clips and they came in a clear plastic bin. The lid is perforated so you can take a portion of the lid off to reveal all the clips at a touch.

I brought in the Transparent Container of Colored Paper Clips from Staples and laid them on my book keepers desk. She and the rest of the office went absolutely wild. All of the employees were doing back flips (6 feet apart of course). I felt that I had finally done something special and really felt a part of the team. The boss patted me on the back and said "You did Good". He told me that I could take 1 of each of the 6 colored paper clips home. Just wait until I get home and show my husband!

Clips fine (mostly) packaging not

The clips are fine (hard to mess them up). The round plastic holder contains 6 colors of clips...sort-of. That's where this loses one star as one of the compartments contains plain non-coated clips. So 1/6 of these Jumbo Vinyl Coated Paper Clips are not actually vinyl coated. The other star is lost because of the container itself. Of the two I ordered one had split open spilling out the paper clips. The design itself has you tearing off the top in a way that you can't re-close it. Not a problem...unless it gets jostled in a drawer. Bottom line: Perfectly functional but 1/6 are not vinyl coated and the packaging is not great.
